SoCal Weimaraner Rescue Picks up Where California Weimaraner Education and Rescue Left Off

SoCal Weimaraner Rescue is a newly-formed 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to help rehome lost, displaced, abandoned or unwanted Weimaraner dogs in or around the Southern California geographical region.

Though the entity may be new, the team is not. The all volunteer-based organization has combined decades of experience rescuing, fostering, showing, and loving Weimaraners. We look forward to continuing the cause California Weimaraner Education and Rescue started for the Southern California region.

The handover of Weimaraner Rescue in the territory was announced by California Weimaraner Education and Rescue (CalWEAR) via a post to their social media sites and website on July 10, 2022. The statement said:

For the last several years, CalWEAR has been proudly instrumental in helping over 500 Weimaraners and Weimaraner mixes in the Southern California region. It is, however, time for me to move onto the next chapter in my life and support my colleagues in their new leadership with SoCal Weimaraner Rescue.

The handover from CalWEAR to SoCal Weim Rescue will be seamless and I look forward to seeing all the great work this new organization will do. Our social media presence will be getting a makeover in the near-term future. Please continue to follow us for updates through our current Facebook page.
